Alberto Speciale was born on July 28, 1892 in Bagheria, Palermo, Sicily, Italy to Giovanni and Anna (D’Amato) Speciale.

Wife: Anna (June 9, 1891-February 15,1969)

Children: Giovanni and Anita

Death: February 17, 1926: Shot by two gunmen at the corner of Lyon and Jackson Streets (in front of 736 Jackson Street)

Decades later, an informant told the FBI that this murder was personal and not business, and was ordered by Milwaukee Mafia boss Joseph Amato who wanted Speciale “out of the way”. The informant identified the gunmen as Milwaukee mobsters Vito Balestrere and Joseph Gumina.
